The Exchange Club of Waterbury
Our mission is to help prevent child abuse. Throughout the year we have a variety of ways to raise money so that children in the greater Waterbury area are safe. Each Exchange member is fully dedicated to the support and growth of the organization, and through fundraising and volunteer efforts, we strive to prevent child abuse in our community.

January 5, 2026, we held our monthly Exchange Club of Waterbury meeting at Monteiro’s Restaurant, and it was a meaningful one!

We were honored to welcome Exchange Club National President, Joe Duek, who joined us to officially swear in four new members to our Waterbury Chapter: Superintendent of Waterbury Public Schools Dr. Darren Schwartz, Marya DiPerna (Post University), Tracy Weiss (Right at Home), and Alzira Egan. We’re so happy to have you join our Exchange family!

We also had the special opportunity to hear from the Brian Gibbons Homeless Outreach Team, who shared how funds donated by the Exchange Club of Waterbury are making a real impact in our community. Because of these donations, 5 families with children were provided safe, warm shelter in hotels, 90 gas cards were distributed to families in need, 176 bus passes were provided, and 6 security deposits were covered to help families secure housing.
Thank you to all of our members for your continued dedication to supporting local efforts like the Brain Gibbons Homeless Outreach Program. Together, we work to give families a home and to prevent child abuse in our community.

Stay tuned: save-the-dates are coming soon!
